Professor Guy McPherson  DR

Mohsen Abdelmoumen : As scientist, you make an alarming report of the environmental situation. Can you explain us it?

Guy McPherson : If industrial civilization is maintained, climate change will cause human extinction in the near term. If industrial civilization collapses, ionizing radiation will be released upon catastrophic meltdown of the world’s nuclear power plants. The oceans are dying, and we are driving 200 species to extinction each day. All of these factors point toward human extinction in the near future. Lire la suite »

Revelations on phone-tapping between the former president Mohamed Morsi and the leader of Al-Qaeda

En passant Publié le Mis à jour le

Very well informed sources report on organized leaks of secret phone calls between Mohamed Morsi and Ayman Al-Zawahiri, leader of Al-Qaeda, causing embarrassment over a government, whether in the West, Israel or in some Arab countries. The United States has not breathed a word to comment on these shocking revelations showing collusion between a head of State exercise and the terrorist so-called public enemy number one, with an Egyptian newspaper of general circulation has just published the second part. David Swanson :  » The American government is the biggest supplier of violence «

Publié le Mis à jour le

David Swanson D.R.

Mohsen Abdelmoumen: You are the most active and the most coherent anti-war activist in the United States today. How analyze you the situation in Syria ?

David Swanson : It’s a major humanitarian crisis – in other words : a war, fueled on both sides by outside arms and ammunition.  It will be deescalated by deescalating it, halting the flow of arms, creating a ceasefire, even an imperfect one at first, and negotiating a settlement.  It will not be improved by further escalation or prolongation of the violence. The American historian William Blum : « the United States are the biggest threat for the peace »

William Blum: « My books are never mentioned in the mainstream media. »D.R.

Mohsen Abdelmoumen : What is the real impact of the Prism affair of espionage revealed by Edward Snowden ?

William Blum : Are you speaking only of Prism or all of Snowden’s revelations?  In total, his revelations have greatly increased the skepticism of the American people about the good intentions of their government.  This is extremely important because the United States is the greatest threat to world peace, prosperity, and the environment.  Only the American people have the power to stop the empire.  But first they have to lose their deep-seated belief that the US means well. Professor Edward S. Herman : « The crimes of the United States are never called genocides in West »

Publié le Mis à jour le

Edward S. Herman DR

Mohsen Abdelmoumen : Algeria, my country, was always for a politics of not intervention in the internal affairs of States. What’s your position about the Syrian’s crisis ?

Edward S. Herman : This is a case of a civil war made into a proxy war of intervention  by numerous foreign powers, led by the United States . Saudi Arabia , Israel , Al Qaeda and Russia . Russia ’s is the most defensible intervention as it  is largely defending a long-standing ally that is Russia ’s only real friend in the Mediterranean area. The other intervenors are trying to overthrow the government, replace it with a friendly puppet, or destroy it as a viable state that would no longer be a serious rival to Israel . It is a terrible situation for Syrians and the world, with international law in shreds (especially the law against aggression, the heart of the UN charter) and a people being destroyed. Endless Fukushima catastrophe: 2020 Olympics under contamination threat

Dr Helen Caldicott (DR)

As the escape of radiation at Fukushima seems virtually unstoppable, there are still steps that governments all over the world should take to prevent worst case consequences. One of them would be canceling the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Scientific estimates predict that the radioactive plume travelling east across the Pacific will likely hit the shores of Oregon, Washington State and Canada early next year. California will probably be impacted later that year. Because the ongoing flow of water from the reactor site will be virtually impossible to stop, a radioactive plume will continue to migrate across the Pacific affecting Hawaii, North America, South America and eventually Australia for many decades.
