Mohsen Abdelmoumen: Your book « Conjuring Hitler » received a laudatory criticism of our friend Peter Dale Scott. Moreover, I share the view of this great intellectual on the fact that this book is essential in the work of historical research. How did you arrive at conclusions against the flow of the historians of the establishment, namely that Hitler was made by the United States and Great Britain and that World War II was inevitable?

Dr. Guido G. Preparata: I started out like most westerners, whose childhood was steeped in the typical propagandistic “currents” of the Cold War: by watching, endlessly and enthusiastically, epic pro-Allies and anti-German war movies. My parents —postwar Italians— were solidly in the pro-US, pro-Israel, pro-capitalist camp, and my father, an academic physicist, was then militantly anti-Communist. That is what I grew up with. Mohsen Abdelmoumen: In your opinion, is not the crisis in Syria and Iraq the direct result of the American interventions in Iraq of 1991 and 2003?

Mohsen Abdelmoumen: Is there really a difference between the candidate Hillary Clinton and the candidate Bernie Sanders?

Michael Yates: They have much in common: career politicians, much similarity in foreign policy outlook (including support for the criminal Israeli state), tied to the Democratic Party, unable or unwilling to critique capitalism itself. However, there are real differences. Clinton is an active war criminal and has done a great deal of damage in the world, from being in league with her husband to end the system of aid to poor people and to greatly expand the prison population to wreaking havoc upon nations around the world. She is utterly beholden to the rich finance capitalists and their institutions and will continue to do their bidding if elected. Lire la suite »

D.R.

You can’t believe a word the United States or its mainstream media say about the current conflict involving The Islamic State (ISIS).

You can’t believe a word France or the United Kingdom say about ISIS.

You can’t believe a word Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, or the United Arab Emirates say about ISIS. Can you say for sure which side of the conflict any of these mideast countries actually finances, arms, or trains, if in fact it’s only one side? Why do they allow their angry young men to join Islamic extremists? Why has NATO-member Turkey allowed so many Islamic extremists to cross into Syria? Is Turkey more concerned with wiping out the Islamic State or the Kurds under siege by ISIS? Are these countries, or the Western powers, more concerned with overthrowing ISIS or overthrowing the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad? Lire la suite »
