Mohsen Abdelmoumen: Your book “Hiramic Brotherhood: Ezekiel’s Temple Prophesy” is very interesting and talks, among other things, about the denial of human rights to an entire people, the Palestinian people. You also mention the ethnic cleansing practiced by the Zionist entity of Israel against the Palestinian people. Why are Western governments turning a blind eye to the abominable crimes of the Zionist entity of Israel? How do you explain the hypocrisy of Western governments regarding the just cause of the Palestinian people?
William Hanna: When in November 1947 it became apparent to Zionists that the UN vote on the Partition of Palestine would be short of the required two-thirds majority in the General Assembly, they filibustered for a postponement until after Thanksgiving thereby gaining enough time to coerce the US into threatening the loss of aid to nations such as Greece — which planned on voting against — into changing their votes. On 29 November 1947 the UN voted for a modified Partition Plan recommending the creation of independent Arab and Jewish States with a Special International Regime for the City of Jerusalem. At the time, the general consensus of opinion was that Israel’s contentious creation had been allowed as a conscious and willful act of Holocaust compensation because of western feelings of guilt. Since then, the weaponisation of anti-Semitism or “holocaust Industry” has ensured the silencing of western politicians and governments.

Jacob Cohen : Le régime sioniste n’est pas assez fou pour annexer toute la Cisjordanie, car alors il lui faudrait naturaliser tous les Palestiniens. Il veut seulement annexer la Cisjordanie « utile », c’est-à-dire la Vallée du Jourdain, empêchant ainsi un éventuel État palestinien de contrôler ses propres frontières et les grands blocs d’implantations juives. Il continuerait ainsi à disposer d’une main d’œuvre soumise et bon marché, et de la collaboration d’une police palestinienne docile pour maintenir l’ordre colonial.

Miguel Urbán Crespo: The emergence of Covid was particularly deadly after decades of neo-liberal policies and cuts in public services and health care. The coronavirus has shown us that in centers and countries where more has been invested in health, there are fewer deaths, because, as we already knew, there is no better social shield than the protection of fundamental rights and the collective interest. Mohsen Abdelmoumen: How and why did the idea come about to create the Right Livelihood Foundation that awards an alternative Nobel Prize?
Johannes Mosskin: The Right Livelihood Award was founded 40 years ago by the Swedish-German philanthropist Jakob von Uexkull. He was alarmed by the disconnect between the urgency of global problems and the way the international community was dealing with them. Von Uexkull saw how decision-makers were meeting behind closed doors, out of touch with reality. Activists and civil society organisations were at the same time gathering outside the meeting rooms, often presenting constructive solutions to the problems. However, their proposals were not taken seriously, and von Uexkull wanted to do something about it. Lire la suite »

Johannes Mosskin : Le Right Livelihood Award a été fondé il y a 40 ans par le philanthrope germano-suédois Jakob von Uexkull. Il était alarmé par le décalage entre l’urgence des problèmes mondiaux et la façon dont la communauté internationale les traitait. Von Uexkull a vu comment les décideurs se réunissaient à huis clos, déconnectés de la réalité. Les militants et les organisations de la société civile se réunissaient en même temps à l’extérieur de ces salles de réunion, présentant souvent des solutions constructives aux problèmes. Mohsen Abdelmoumen: In your experience as an activist, what is the most effective way to fight the imperialist wars in the US?
Kathy Kelly: In the buildup to the 2003 U.S. Shock and Awe bombing of Iraq, the world came closer than ever before to stopping a war before it started. A growing level of education, outreach, civil disobedience, and massive street demonstrations developed at the same time that UN weapons inspectors were very close to issuing a conclusive report about whether or not Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. The U.K. government told the U.S. government it would be extremely difficult to ally with the U.S. in attacking Iraq following a UN report which was expected to certify that Iraq didn’t have weapons of mass destruction.
